Have to

It’s been FAR too long since I’ve written anything so I just have to right now. I didn’t revisit anything I’d been working on or even try to finish a thought I’d started. I need to write because its what I’ve been charged with. I cannot feel complete in who I am in Christ today until I walk in all the ways he’s told me to.

So many people make the complaint that they don’t hear God or maybe aren’t sure what their purpose is. Some may even think they don’t have a real purpose specific to their life. I believe I’ve addressed those concerns in previous posts, so what I think Ill say today is to those who do have the answers. To those of you who hear God and know your purpose, I’d like to ask: Are you living like it?

When we know our purpose we say we know our “calling”. “As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:1‬ Paul understood the value of his calling and of those he discipled. He urged them to live “worthy of their calling”. So, does a typical day in your life, seer that you are, fit the bill of one called to freedom? Does your day filled with work, kids, activities, errands, spouses, and trips still exude one called to Sonship?

All the other posts on this blog give you the tools to live that worthy life, so you have the means to do it. Are you? Are you intentional in speech, action, and motive towards others? Are you quick to repent when you know you’ve messed up? In any given part of the day do you at least take a moment to consider someone else above yourself? Most importantly, are you investing your time into greater intimacy with Jesus?

Some of you are called to things so out of the realm of your current reality you think it was just a cool thought one day. But the truth is that you are called to that great thing and God wants to use your faithfulness in today to catapult you into more! Don’t let those dreams die and those visions fade. Make today the day that you step up and count your moments as those worthy of Jesus seeing. Make your days worthy of your calling by not letting them just pass by.
